(LMI) publishes the PSS\u2122 Annual Survey of Hours Report\u00a9, a nationally recognized hospital benchmark now in its 36th year. Originally developed as the first national database for Nursing by Nurses, the survey has evolved into one of the most comprehensive workforce management resources available to hospitals today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The survey includes hours of care for direct, indirect, and total worked by unit of service, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hours Per Patient Day (HPPD)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hours Per Visit<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hours Per Surgical Case<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hours Per Delivery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And other unit\u2011specific measures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the report provides Detailed caregiver\u2011to\u2011patient ratios by unit type for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Registered Nurses (RNs)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Licensed Practical\/Vocational Nurses (LPN\/LVNs)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nursing Assistants (NAs)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Data is collected for 95-unit types across 13 service lines, representing teaching, community, and rural hospitals nationwide.
