{"id":2226,"date":"2019-03-13T19:35:23","date_gmt":"2019-03-13T19:35:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lminstitute.com\/?post_type=product&#038;p=2226"},"modified":"2026-02-09T11:16:43","modified_gmt":"2026-02-09T17:16:43","slug":"annual-survey-of-hours-report","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/lminstitute.com\/index.php\/product\/annual-survey-of-hours-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Annual Survey of Hours Report &#8211; Print Edition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Labor Management Institute, Inc. has designed and executed research studies in a variety of areas related to scheduling, staffing and labor management.\u00a0 Annually, we conduct the Perspectives in Staffing &amp; Scheduling (PSS\u2122) Annual Survey of Hours National Benchmark\u00a9 which focuses on The Direct RN H\/UOS, Total Direct H\/UOS, Indirect H\/UOS and Total Worked H\/UOS.<\/p>\n<p>In the Special COVID-19 Edition PSS\u2122 Annual Survey of Hours Report\u00a9 there are some differences in the way the content is presented to allow for comparisons.<\/p>\n<p>*We include Average Length of Stay by Unit type and Hospital Type,\u00a0Adverse Patient Outcomes (Medication Errors and Patient Falls) by Unit Type and Hospital Type.\u00a0 We include RN specific questions such as age, education and ratios. We include detailed ratios for RNs, LPN\/LVNs, NAs, and CNS&#8217; by unit type.\u00a0 We report on non-unit-based educators in addition to questions on nurse manager span of control and other elements reflective of the 2004 Institute of Medicine\u2019s &#8220;Keeping Patients Safe&#8221; report recommendations.
